During data
communication, no
data was
transmitted, or
transmitted data
was incomplete.
MC21XX removed
from cradle or
unplugged from
host computer
during
communication.
Replace the MC21XX in the cradle, or reattach the cable and
re-transmit.
Incorrect cable
configuration.

Communication
software was
incorrectly
installed or
configured.
Perform communication setup as described in
Chapter 3,
Synchronization
.
MC21XX does not
emit sound.
Volume setting is
low or turned off.
MC21XX may be a beeper only configuration or incorrect setting is
programmed into device.
MC21XX turns itself
off.
MC21XX is
inactive.
The MC21XX turns off after a period of inactivity. This period can be
set from one to five minutes, in one-minute intervals.
Battery is
depleted.
Recharge or replace the battery.
Battery is not
inserted properly.

.
Tapping the window
buttons or icons
does not activate
the corresponding
feature.
Touch screen not
calibrated
correctly.
Re-calibrate the screen, tap Start > Settings > Control Panel >
Stylus > Calibration tab > Recalibrate or press Blue key - ESC.
The system
crashed.
Warm boot the system. To perform a warm boot, see

.
A message appears
stating that the
MC21XX memory is
full.
Too many files
stored on the
MC21XX.
Delete unused memos and records. If necessary, save these
records on the host computer.
Too many
applications
installed on the
MC21XX.
Remove unused installed applications from the MC21XX to recover
memory.
